Heat exchangers and steam generators in nuclear power stations
Eddy current data collection and analysis on steam generators and regenerative heat exchangers during planned outages.

Zber Analýza Testovanie - In Service Testing
Eddy currents, pulsed eddy currents and tank inspection. We detect material damage before it puts the operation of your equipment at risk.
Our services

We collect data from heat exchangers during maintenance outages. The data are analysed using the eddy current (ET) method with bobbin probes, special techniques (X-probe) and rotating probes (MRPC).

ET data are collected by qualified personnel on an agreed number of exchanger tubes, with a focus on detecting tube wall thinning.

We assess the condition of insulation and corrosion under insulation without removing it, using pulsed eddy current (PEC) with Eddyfi LYFT and REDDY technologies.

We verify the serviceability of tanks using the MFL and STARS methods with Eddyfi FloormapX technology, even while the tank remains fully in service.

We apply PScoat thermal insulation coating to pipework, valves and process equipment. It significantly reduces heat loss and protects staff from burns.

We carry out metalwork and welding, including repairs to piping systems and the installation and removal of pipework on the units of the Dukovany and Temelín nuclear power stations.

Penetrant testing (PT) and visual testing (VT) are among the most widely used methods of non-destructive material testing and are well suited to detecting basic defects. The other methods focus on detecting and evaluating the condition (properties) of product materials using specialised instruments and equipment.

This work is carried out by administrative staff who survey existing equipment on site, checking its technical condition and the location of all equipment and components within the nuclear power station. The information gathered is then digitised for further processing.
About us
Zatist, s.r.o. was founded in 2017 and is based in Modřice near Brno. Our technical equipment enables us to carry out non-destructive testing (NDT) using a range of methods, and we also specialise in the full scope of the ET method, from data collection and analysis through to the final report. We employ specialists who are also qualified to work as trainers. We carry out welding and metalwork and provide a variety of NDT inspections during planned outages at nuclear, thermal and combined-cycle power stations, as well as at petrochemical and engineering plants, both during manufacture and before equipment is put into service. We deliver this work with both in-house and external personnel.
Our NDT personnel are qualified to ČSN EN ISO 9712 at Level 2 or Level 3 and are ready to step in during both planned and unplanned outages.
To achieve the best possible results when identifying corrosion and defects, our NDT reports are produced using state-of-the-art equipment from the world’s leading suppliers of ET technology.

Projects
Eddy current data collection and analysis on steam generators and regenerative heat exchangers during planned outages.
Verifying the serviceability of fuel storage tanks using the MFL method with FloormapX technology.
Detecting corrosion under the insulation of process pipework without having to remove it.
Applying thermal insulation coating to valves and pipework on hot water distribution systems.
Repairing PG26 collector bridges, start-up work during a critical repair and delivering repairs of heterogeneous (HTG) welds on the steam generator feedwater system.
We mapped and inspected the external condition of the site through a walk-through survey, recorded the actual condition of the technical equipment and compared it with the as-built documentation.
Certification
The quality, safety and professionalism of our services are built on the expertise of our staff and on the company’s certified management system. That is why we place long-term emphasis on developing expertise, training our staff regularly and obtaining certificates and authorisations that confirm their qualification for specialised work.
Our specialist personnel hold certificates, qualifications and authorisations issued by accredited bodies, confirming their competence to work in accordance with applicable standards, technical regulations and customer requirements.
In addition to the qualifications of individual staff, the company holds a number of corporate certificates, authorisations and accreditations that confirm its ability to deliver services to the required level of quality, safety and technical competence. These certificates demonstrate that certified management systems have been introduced and maintained, that legal requirements are met and that the company is able to deliver contracts in line with internationally recognised standards.
Insurance
Our company holds liability insurance within the scope of Article II of insurance policy no. 0024205915. The insurance covers the insured’s statutory obligation to compensate the injured party for losses specified in the insurance policy and insurance terms, where the insured becomes liable for such compensation in connection with the following activities: testing, measurement, analysis and inspection; surface treatment and welding of metals and other materials; manufacture of metal structures and metalwork products; administrative and organisational business services; metalwork and toolmaking, as listed in the extract from the Commercial Register, or in connection with relationships arising from these activities, and in connection with a defect in a product placed on the market or a defect in work performed that becomes apparent after handover.
